American pride is fleeting to say the least, but luckily, we still have men and women in this country who still do it proud. Many Americans don’t realize what a privilege it is to live in this country, and who makes sure that we get to keep our privileges.
In 2011, this house was completely decorated in red, white, and blue Christmas lights. And when they turned on the music, it was a perfect salute to those who have served this great nation with the American flag shining above all else.
Not only did they play the song ‘God Bless the U.S.A.’ but they remixed it with the songs of our four main military branches: The Army, Marines, Navy, and Air Force.
Each branch has its own song that must be memorized by every service member and sung proudly for the world to hear, it represents the branch and the people who serve in that branch. So, this is a great tribute to the military.
A piece of the Army’s is: First to fight for the right, and to build the Nation’s might, and the Army goes rolling along. Proud of all we have done, fighting till the battle’s won, And the Army goes rolling along… Then it’s hi! hi! hey! The Army’s on its way. Count off the cadence loud and strong; For where’er we go, you will always know that the Army goes rolling along.
The Marines: First to fight for right and freedom and to keep our honor clean; We are proud to claim the title of United States Marine.
The Navy: Anchors Aweigh, my boys, Anchors Aweigh! Farewell to Foreign Shores, we sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay; through our last night ashore, drink to the foam, until we meet once more, here’s wishing you a happy voyage home!
And the Air Force: Off we go into the wild blue yonder, climbing high into the sun Here they come zooming to meet our thunder at ’em boys, Give ‘er the gun! Down we dive, spouting our flame from under. Off with one helluva roar! We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey! Nothing can stop the U.S. Air Force!
These songs represent the pride of every American service member who have served in our nation’s military, and the words are a matter of pride for all of those who have sung those words. So, when people like this play those words, with lights and the American flag glowing brightly, it’s emotion provoking to say the least.
Even though this video was made in 2011, it is as relevant now as it was then. People need to take more pride in their nation, and give respect to those who serve. Men and women of every demographic sign their lives away to defend us from threats, which deserves some gratitude at least.
I hope the owner of that house does this every year, because it’s a great way to support to America. They also mentioned a charity that helps supported injured service members, which is always helpful.
Many Americans service members come back home broken and battered, with missing limbs and busting open heads. And they get their health care from the government because of their sacrifices to this country, but is it good health care? Not by a long shot.
They get lackluster healthcare, but many of them can’t afford anything else. Yet, it’s America’s duty to take care of them, because they took care of us. And that’s what a lot of people like about President-Elect Donald Trump, he proudly supports our Veterans and vows to give them the best care possible. They deserve it, because they have laid down their lives to preserve the freedoms we enjoy in America.
