The Democrat Party has a dark past they want to keep hidden from American voters. We need to share this picture of Democrat racism and hatred, so they never win another election!
This photograph depicts hundreds of Ku Klux Klan delegates to the 1924 Democrat National Convention–dressed in their Klan robes and hoods. The KKK played a major role in Democrat politics for years and was a driving force in the 1924 election.
The term “Klanbake” is one every American should be taught in history class. It refers to the celebration the KKK held in New Jersey after they successfully got the Democrat National Convention of 1924 to consent to their agenda.
Remember, the KKK was, from its inception, closely allied to the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party was the party of slavery; the party that started the Civil War. They opposed Reconstruction and instituted black oppression in the form of the black codes and Jim Crow.
While the Klan mostly died down following the Reconstruction era, they enjoyed a massive comeback after World War I, thanks in part to their favorable depiction in D.W. Griffith’s popular film, The Birth of a Nation.
The Klan exerted significant political influence on both a local and national scale. In the 1924 election, they sent HUNDREDS of loyal delegates to the Democrat National Convention. Their influence was written all over the party platform.
One of the leading candidates for the Democrat nomination was New York Governor, Al Smith. However, Smith was a Roman Catholic, and the KKK was anti-Catholic and anti-Semite. Thus, they did all they could to stop Smith from receiving the nomination.
The favored candidate among the Klan was William Gibbs McAdoo, a close associate of Woodrow Wilson. Although neither McAdoo nor Smith ended up winning the nomination that year, there was tremendous tension between Klan and non-Klan delegates.
The non-Klan Democrats wanted to add a condemnation of the KKK to the party platform. The Klan won the vote on this issue, and the plan was not included in the platform. To celebrate this victory, the KKK Democrats held a massive celebration, known as “Klanbake,” across the river in New Jersey. The event was marked by the typical cross-burning and intimidation toward minorities.
Ultimately, the controversy surrounding the KKK’s role in the 1924 election contributed to the victory of Republican presidential candidate, Calvin Coolidge. Back then, the American people knew of the Democrats’ complicity in Klan violence. That was before liberal educators revised history to make the Democrats look like the good guys.
Republicans have always been the champions of blacks. The GOP is the party of Lincoln, founded in large part as an abolitionist party. It was Republicans who passed the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution, which freed slaves, gave them citizenship and guaranteed them the right to vote.
Even during the Civil Rights Era in the 1960s, a greater percentage of Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act. Democrats don’t want you to know that they were–and remain–the party of racism, bigotry, and violence.
