Time and again, we have seen President Obama offer heart-wrenching support to the families of thugs killed by police officers. That was not the case last week when a white teen was victimized by black thugs and literally tortured before finally being released.
Jordan Hill, a mentally challenged white teenager, was kidnapped and tortured by four black thugs just after Christmas. “The images demonstrate … ah, ah, ah… a level of depravity that is an outrage to a lot of Americans,” was the closest Josh Earnest ever came to calling what happened to the disabled white Trump supporter a hate crime.
The reaction to the obvious hate crime by the Obama administration was a slap in the face to both Hill and his family. Behavior like this is just another reason true patriots and decent people are eager to see Obama exit the White House.
After police officers found Jordan Hill wandering around Chicago in very little clothing to protect him from the cold, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest couldn’t even bring himself to admit that he or Obama thought the violent torture live-streamed on Facebook was hate crime — just like neither can ever utter the words, “radical Islamic terrorist.”
What Americans would not find in that video anything short of racist depravity? The four black perpetrators made Hill say, “F**k Donald Trump” and “F**k white people” as they tortured him, amid laughter. (via Freedom Daily)
When a black reporter bluntly asked Earnest if Obama would ever think what happened to Jordan Hill would “rise to the level of a hate crime,” Earnest still dodged the questions as best he could.
“I think it’s too early to tell, I… uh… uh… certainly, don’t want to predict where the investigation would lead. I think our expectation would be that local law enforcement would follow the facts and I wouldn’t speculate at this point about to what degree federal officials would get involved for considering those kinds of crimes,” Earnest said.
Once again, he skipped an opportunity to uphold common decency and admit that hate crime laws are also supposed to protect all citizens, not just one specific race or religion.
Never before has Obama hesitated to allege hate crimes had occurred against black Americans at the hands of the police – regardless of the color of the involved officer’s skin. Obama also never indicated a desire to wait until all the facts were in before giving an opinion an evolving case — like the riots in Ferguson.
When a person, especially a disabled person, is taken captive and tortured while being made to make racist statements, ALL of America, including our liberal president, should consider it a hate crime. If the victim of a crime does not fit a politically correct embraced by the left, apparently their pain just does not matter.
Conservatives would have deemed what happened to Jordan Hill a hate crime if he was black and disabled and forced to shout anti-Bernie Sanders comments. There are a lot of differences between liberals and conservatives. I did not realize until just now that human decency is one of them.
