Trump held a rally in Burlington, VT, on Thursday night and not everyone in the crowd was on his side. One person in particular decided to get a little boisterous and Trump had heard enough.
Finally, Trump just had him tossed, saying, “Get him out. Take him out. Get him out of here!”
Donald paused for a few seconds and then decided kicking the heckler out of the rally was not enough punishment. As they were removing the heckler, Trump chimed in, “Don’t give him his coat. Keep his coat. Confiscate his coat. You know it’s about 10 degrees below zero outside.”
At this point, Trump’s speech virtually turned into a comedy routine, and the crowd ate up every second of it. He quickly got back on point, but now he really had the rally crowd in the palm of his hand.
Somehow, Donald continues to be able to keep his finger directly on the pulse of his audience. This is why his reach goes far beyond the Republican party and penetrates Independents and conservative Liberals.
Personally, I love when Trump does this because it breaks up the monotony of the “typical” political speech. Trump, while discussing very real and serious issues, has found a way to make discussing politics fun. Quite frankly, it is a characteristic no other politician in this race has and one of the reasons he may find himself in Washington, DC, come January 20, 2017.
