Dreaming of a white Christmas? Heck, I’m dreaming of any Christmas. And that dream is finally coming true, thanks to President-Elect Trump.
“I want to see Merry Christmas. Remember the expression Merry Christmas? You don’t see it anymore! You’re going to see it if I get elected, I can tell you right now.” Trump said on the campaign trail.
It really IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Millions of Christians in America have had a lump of coal in their hearts since the liberals started taking Christmas out of Christmas.
For me, I realized something wasn’t right when my child’s school did a “patriotic winter celebration” choir concert. The next year they performed the story of the Abominable Snowman. Then the Snow Queen. And get this – our town’s census shows it is 96 percent Christian.
The performances were lovely, but Christmas was gone. I hate it. A hundred million other Christian Americans hate it, too. And you know who else hates it? The President. No, not Obama. The new guy.
The Grinch has indeed stolen Christmas. Soon Starbucks chimed in and dropped the C word. Then the White House dropped it. School administrators became terrified of lawsuits, thanks to that crazy group in Wisconsin, the Freedom From Religion Foundation. Bah humbug to you!
“There’s an assault on anything having to [do] with Christianity,” Trump said. “They don’t want to use the word ‘Christmas’ anymore at department stores. There’s always lawsuits and unfortunately a lot of those lawsuits are won by the other side.”
Well, be encouraged, Trump is bringing back Christmas. The whole nine yards. Jesus. The manger. The virgin birth. The angels. Joy to the world – the Lord is come – back to America!
“I love Christmas. I love Christmas. You go to stores, you don’t see the word Christmas. It says happy holidays all over. I say, ‘Where’s Christmas?’ I tell my wife, ‘Don’t go to those stores.’” Trump declared.
This Christmas will be the best in years, thanks to the hope that Mr. Trump is bringing. Part of Making America Great Again is bringing back our cherished traditions. Go tell it on the mountains! Christmas is back!
No doubt, assaults on Christmas will continue, but we may finally start winning these battles. Don’t be afraid to say it: We Wish You a Merry Christmas!
