The Convention of States is one step closer to becoming a reality thanks to the actions of Utah lawmakers.
The Utah State Senate voted in favor of HJR 8 (Convention of States) by a vote of 6-3, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. “It would take 13 states to kill anything that comes out of the convention.” “We need to put the teeth back in the 10th Amendment,” bill sponsor Utah State Representative Ken Ivory, said.
According to Ivory, the Convention of States can be used to regain control of federal lands and to thwart any attempt “criminalizing everything in people’s day-to-day life” by the federal government.

Patriots around the country have been steadfastly fighting to make the Convention of States happen since 44’s first term in office.
The writing appeared on the wall pretty quickly after the far-left community organizer moved into the White House. He began trampling on the Constitution even before he hopped on Air Force One and embarked on his global apology tour.
Opponents of the Convention of States meeting have been fearful a “runaway” train mentality will emerge and turn the government into complete pandemonium.
The federal government devolved into a completely dysfunctional state years ago. It is long past time for the American people to grab the reins and restore order to the republic.
